IXLA SA was established on May 2003 in Switzerland, but all the developments and operations are based in Italy. IXLA was created to provide equipment for the emerging market for plastic card personalization by laser engraving technology. This technology is especially appreciated wherever you need a high degree of anti-counterfeiting, as in the production of identity cards, passports and credit cards
Along the past years, IXLA had achieved the target of fulfilling the request from the ID related sector, which is mainly oriented towards the decentralized production of qualified documents personalized by laser technology.   These products were also used in centralized operation with the purpose to customize multi-machines, thus minimizing the risk of stopping production and drastically reducing the cost of repairs.   The cost of the laser source represents the core technology module of the overall value of the whole desk top system. From this account, owning the laser sources, allows to have strategic advantage compared to those firm that must purchase this module from third parties laser manufacturer.
In this regard it was considered necessary to provide for devoting most of the investments in the development of sources and related intellectual property in the ID laser engraving technology modules.
